Some cartoons were originally to have been included in 'Practical Aspects of Thoracic Anaesthesia' but they were eventually omitted for various reasons. They are reproduced here instead. The five 'Thoracic Cage' drawings were produced by Eve Grosse to whom my grateful thanks are due.
